Blessed with beautiful weekend weather, the June 1st and 2nd Yerba Buena Gardens Festival ChoreoFest drew hundreds of spectators to view outdoor performances by nine Bay Area dance companies. Curated by RAWdance, performances were scheduled sequentially at different points around the Garden. Attendants holding ChoreoFest signs led spectators from each performance to the next, treated along the way by spot performances by RAWdance dancers. Participating companies included: detour dance, RAWdance, Simpson/Stulberg Collaborations, Alma Esperanza Cunningham, Post:Ballet, Chris Black Dance, Kambara+Dancers, Bianca Cabrera / Blind Tiger Society, and The MoveMessenger(s).
